Type of park
Military Campground, located on Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna, Ohio. Reservations phone number 330-609-1501
Getting there
This military installation was easy to find and convenient from HWY 11, which is how I traveled down from Interstate 90. It could also be easily accessed if you are traveling across the state on Interstate 80 by taking 11 North. From HWY 11 take exit 54 for King Graves Road. Check in for your site is completed at the outdoor recreation/fitness building (Bldg 104). However, I was instructed to park at my assigned site first and then proceed to Bldg 104. The outdoor recreation/fitness building parking lot is not RV friendly.
Amenities
- Running/Walking Track. This was my favorite amenity, more about this below.
- Free Laundry!!! Located in the Eagles Nest Lodge building.
- Restroom facilities. Located in “Field House” building 536
- Base Exchange. Limited supplies and groceries, more of a convenience store.
5K everyday
What better way to train for my 50 State Fundraiser then to have a track right outside my door! The track is 1/2 mile long, with plenty to see on the way around. You will notice planes taking off from the airstrip, to the right of the track, a fire training aircraft in the burn pit and wild flowers along the path.

No Coins, No Problem!
The laundry facilities are located in the Eagles Nest Lodge buildings (#111 & #112). I used the laundry room at building 112. It was very clean and the machines were in excellent shape. Did I also mention it was free!!! I was very happy about this because at the time, the country was having a coin shortage due to Covid and it was especially difficult for me to get quarters for laundry. Also, this building is located across from the exchange so it was very easy to grab a snack while waiting for the laundry.

Site Attributes
With only 16 sites, this campground is very cozy. There are 5 FHU pull through sites with 30/50 AMP, and 11 back in, water and electric sites with 30 AMP service. All sites are paved and level with a gravel patio area. One thing that may be an issue for a larger rig is how close the wall is to the front of the pull through sites (see third pic below). If you have to make a wide turn out of the site, it may be a little close. Willow had no problem with it though!

Although there was no Wi-Fi, my AT&T service was strong. Ten miles away in Warren, I found a Starbucks, a Target, grocery stores and many restaurants. This was a great location to hang out for a few days.
The campground reviews are my opinion and observations at the time I was at the location. Things may have changed since the date of this post. In depth information and details may be missing/absent. This is meant to be a brief overview and is written based on what I noticed while there.
